If it's still supported new edition, more books, expansions, or whatever , I'm definitely going to be picking up a physical copy.

Is this game still live? This game is simply amazing. It has fun features, a good concept, and the adventure sold seperately is -also- gosh darn good! The only way it could be better, in my opinion, would be if roll20 had a sheet for it, but luckly for me I have a player that was willing to make an Excel sheet for us.

Any chance you all have a website with info about ongoing projects? Or a kickstarter for a new adventure? Hi guys! Is there anything like a world map out there? I was just going to grab a generic one off of RPGNow and use that. Love the game so far bought the hardback off a KS backer who needed cash and raved about Majimonsters! Has there been any thought given to a. I don't know if it works for everybody, but when I open the PDF and right-click on the monster, it highlights the picture, then you copy image and paste it into Paint and you can save it in any number of formats.

From there you can just make your own paper miniatures. I use Word. Definitely a good idea, only problem is I don't have the. Guess it'll sit on the shelf not getting exposure to gamers out there. I like Trash Mob Miniatures; I like the art, and they have a bunch of guys you can snag for binders, and even some odd beasties perfect for new Monsters! But ideally Creators of Flat Plastic Miniatures.

They do front and back artwork on transparent plastic stand up minis. They'll do Binders. Monsters, civilians for towns and cities, smithys and taverns, army packs of commonly occurring baddies like bandits, swarms, normal critters, and a few of the Monsters that occur in numbers.

And for the sheer number of figures you need Monsters alone! Plus they have a gawdawful huge assortment of existing minis already! Along with props and terrain and such. We could probably just use one of their civilian sets. Just an idea Alright, you've kinda painted us into a corner here. I appreciate your desire to keep the focus of the game on fighting Monster vs Monster but what are we supposed to do if there's a group with no Binders traders, etc. Wad up the character sheet and start over?

There has to be a way for a person to fight a Monster, however inefficiently, or there would be no trade at all. Hi Steve! You're right, a lot of the lore and game systems of MajiMonsters are designed to keep the emphasis on Monster vs. Monster combat. We discovered in early playtests this is what was healthiest for the game and how we focused as designers.

Regarding the lore, the New Empire is still in its fledgling states - trade between bastions of humanity has really only begun to flourish again. Any merchant worth their salt would certainly have a binder in tow for protection, and those that couldn't afford such services would take their lives in their hands or, perhaps, wait for travelers to come to them. And should a group of binders find themselves in a situation where they have no Monsters to defend them, well, that is a very real risk we envisioned the proverbial TPK, if you will.

Fortunately, we've never had such a situation occur in our tests, but the threat of it should give the experience of surviving more merit. Of course, we're huge advocates for players making the game their See more own: if you see a change as necessary to house rule, we encourage you to do so!

Like any roleplaying game, MajiMonsters as it is presented in the Core Rulebook is a template at best for the experience you're looking for. Just because we haven't seen this as an issue doesn't mean it automatically meets you or your player expectations. You could easily houserule weapons deal their damage against Monsters, or perhaps half or minimum damage? So long as you're prepared to experiment with it, it shouldn't hurt the overall experience.

Thanks again for your support! Let us know if you have any questions. Wow, I'm glad this happened to hit the Deal of the Day! I didn't even know it existed! And I'm sorry to have missed the two Kickstarters as well but now I know to keep my eyes peeled.

I don't know the background histories of either Pokimon or Digimon but from a light skimming of the preview your background seems very close to Monster Rancher, a game I dearly love. Similar with Jade Cocoon. I've always wondered about creating such an RPG but knew it would have taken a massive amount of work!

At over pages I see you've done just that! The PDF that I've purchased of this product is not working. Every time I try to load it up I am getting an error. Hi there! Sorry to hear your copy is not working.

A question that came up during our group's character creation - what check is made during the breeding process? It says 'a hard 9 check', but doesn't specify what dice the Scholar player would be rolling. Is it just 2d6, and if so, does that mean it isn't possible in the game mechanics to become 'better' or 'more consistently successful' at MajiMonster breeding beyond using higher-Grade Majimon?

Hi Eleanor; glad to see you're having fun breeding MajiMonsters one of my favorite parts of the game. You're correct, anytime a check isn't specified, it's a standard 2d6 with the listed difficulty. We initially had the check tied to a skill and allowed MajiMonster breeding among all classes, but with the relatively small range of ability scores it was too easy to manipulate so that success was assured.

We instead tied "improving" the odds with higher Grade Monsters and limited the ability to the scholar class. We found this worked the best - it was consistent without being assured, and gave the class a special quality that made it desirable on a team. That said, we're firm believers that MajiMonsters is yours to make your own.

If you want to house rule the check to a skill you can, of course, among any other homebrew rule you might come up with!

Thanks again! Dan Late Knight Games. Is there a plan to release a quickstart with premade characters? Just a thought but, I can't help but notice you have rules for increasing the size of monsters but no actual explanation as to what size does mechanically? Hey Jonathan! Samantha Barron.
